thank you, Allen. it still astonishes me how strong the memories and ‘standards’ of our childhood are in later life. we really never leave behind anything – the good or the bad.

This is so beautifully written and insightful. It is really impossible to judge our life, because the story we are is never finished, and we only write bits and pieces. I like the way you read your story and see that it has its own meaning, its own importance; and that this is enough.

Yes, I too find limits enlivening; although sometimes unnerving. I like the way that art most clearly speaks to the power of limits.

I chafe at limits at times now. Not always. I’m learning to be more of a go-with-the-flow kind of gal. Accepting my personal limitations are the hardest.
